Family Portrait Painting

It’s not often that your whole family is gathered together to share in a huge milestone. The wedding paintings I make are a unique opportunity to document every generation of a family during one of its happiest and most memorable occasions. Unlike the carefully composed group portraits that are a staple of wedding photography, I try to sketch my subjects caught in individual personal moments that reveal their personalities, often combining several memorable scenes into one image. Sometimes I am also asked to include beloved pets, or even to depict family members who have passed on but whose presence is still felt.
